Mosquito (Pre-Release Showcases).

Audience-test screenings of mosquito (2020) took place the year prior in 2019 at The Close Up Cinema in Shoreditch and The Horse Hospital in Russel Square. These events featured post-screening talks and musical performances.

Following its official release, the film has since screened in various other locations across the world - from Japan to London to Lagos.

It is also available to view on multiple streaming platforms, from Gal-Dem’s Shorties and Minute Shorts to Form No Form and Girls In Film.

mosquito (2020) was also screened along with three films for “Dark Arts” (2020) - an exploration of the taboo within audio+visual forms of expression.

The showcase brought together, in conversation and collaboration, three filmmakers - Bolaji Kekere-Ekun (37th State), Demi Ademuson and Mimi Koku - whose works depicted/explored varying forms of the ‘taboo’.

Post-screening panel discussions and artist led workshops (focused on building one’s multi-disciplinary practice) also took place over the weekend.
