Mimi Koku is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, researcher and filmmaker working between London (UK) and Lagos (NG).
Her practice embraces a multi-sensory approach to art-making, affirming the merging of worlds between the real and the surreal, the tangible and the abstract.
She employs the moving image, sound, sculpture performance and installation - whilst engaging with personal and collective archives, ecology, technology and design.
As a musician, she is a member of London-based music collective Monzanto Sound, contributing to the project as a vocalist, producer and songwriter. She also performs as a singer-songwriter and composer under her own name.
